The Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations and Environment (ASAIE) is planning to conduct a Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) Forum for the Army Installations solicitations, which include the privatization of Army Family Housing at Fort Greely, AK; Fort Wainwright, AK; Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Fort Huachuca, AZ; and Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) and Request for Qualifications (RFQs) announcements for this RCI solicitation group is scheduled to be released in March 2007 timeframe. The Forum will be held on 14 March 2007 at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel (Formally known as the Wyndham Inner Harbor Hotel), 101 West Fayette Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201.
The forum will begin with a networking social on the evening of March 13th and continue on March 14th with a half-day session of formal presentations by Senior Officials that will provide you with an overview of the RCI program, an outline of the Request for Qualifications procurement process, an overview of The Army’s Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization program, and presentations for all Army installations in these solicitations. The formal presentations in the morning will conclude with an interactive panel session to discuss additional project details or address any questions.

The daily room rate for private sector and government forum attendees is $148.00 plus tax. Please be advised that this room rate is subject to change if room reservations are not confirmed by 20 February 2007. To participate in this Forum, please CLICK HERE to register or complete and fax the registration form to (703) 771-0299. Although we encourage advance registration, onsite registration will be available at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel on March 13th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on March 14th from 7:00 AM to 7:55 AM. The formal session will begin promptly at 8:00 AM and will end by 2:30 PM. A confirmed site tour schedule for all participating installations in this solicitation group will be provided on the RCI website. The registration fee to attend the industry forum is $180.00 per person. The Industry Forum will include materials, continental breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided. There is additional fee for $20.00 per person for each installation site visit. The RCI program is dedicated to building quality, sustainable, residential communities for soldiers and their families. RCI employs the best commercial practices and is built on partnerships with private sector developers to meet the Army's long-term family housing requirement.
